Welcome to the Solo2/Autocross Program of the Sacramento Chapter of  Sports Car Club of America

Solo2 (also called Autocross or Slalom) is a contest of driving skill. We run against the clock (i.e. "solo") on short courses that emphasize car handling and agility rather than speed or power. Speeds and hazards to spectators, participants, and property do not exceed those encountered in normal, legal highway driving. Thrills and fun, however, do. Best of all, you can enter in your street car!

Come Autocross with us! Sacramento CUP events are open to all licensed drivers, and we welcome new participants. We have some loaner helmets available and there is a class for everyone. It's easy, safe and fun for the whole family. Experience your car's limits and improve your driving skills in a safe, friendly environment.

If you haven't noticed we now have drops in the PAX Scoring. This, we feel will tighten up the competition in PAX. The drops are the same as the Class Scoring: 1 drop every 4 events. We still have a few bugs to fix in some of the class scoring: Don't worry it will be fixed by trophy time.

I know times are tough, Stress Levels are at an all time high. What you need is a break!!!! I have the answer for You: Auto-X, come down to Stockton and blow off alittle steam, relieve alittle stress, hang out for awhile, talk with old friends, make new ones. Everybody needs a break sometime, make it next weekend.

I'll see you there!!!!!!!!

WOW,  1/2 way through the season. It's hard to believe we are also 1/2 way through the year. The Chapter is motoring right along averaging alittle over 100 people an event--which is great considering the economy. We've got a few more events at Stockton and we will finish out the season at Mather, yes I said Mather. The last 2 events of the year (10/31-11/1) are at Mather. Saturday we will be doing a charity event for the PAL (Police Activity League). Sunday will be a "Come out and support our getting back into Mather Event". We want them to see the Sacramento Chapter at it's best on Our home turf. We want to show them "The Voodoo that we do so well". I want them to go away thinking, wow we can't disappoint these people by not letting them play at home. So, come out and join Us, support the PAL and show the Powers That Be, we want back in to Our playground.

Later, Doug
